Stephanie & Michael
Topic: ENGAGEMENT

Needed to get back into the swing of things, so I've started working on all of the print orders that have

been waiting for me. Saw this image from Stephaine & Michael's engagement session and thought you needed to see it too.

We survived Gustav!
Topic: RAMBLINGS

Just incase you were wondering, yes, we survived. Gustav gave the state of Louisiana a mighty blow.

We in the Monroe area were affected by high wind and plenty of rain. We were without power and Internet

Sunday through Thursday but didn't have any wind damage or flooding. Really happy to get electricity

and Web access back. You really don't know how much you depend upon the utilitiy companies until

their services are gone. Hope you and yours got through the storms OK and our thoughts and prayers

go out to those who got the worst of it.

Keep that smile going, Lamar

NOLA RISING
Topic: RAMBLINGS

Yes, we've got hurricanes approaching and people are fleeing,

but New Orleans is here to stay

and Louisiana is here to stay!

After Rita and Katrina, NOLA RISING was born.

NoLa Rising is a post-Katrina art campaign encouraging people in all faubourgs of Greater New Orleans to publicly display works of art, regardless of how simple or untutored it may seem to be, for the purpose of rebuilding and restoring the human spirit in our city. NOLA is a unique and beautiful city that has historically embraced the spirit of personal freedom that supports the growth of the artist, musician and writer ... the goal of the NoLa Rising Project is to showcase that spirit.

What can I say, other than it is "Family Portrait Time".

Don't let these precious moments slip by. Let Lamar capture a little bit of time, for you.

Be sure to make your appointments early for those special Holiday Season portraits

and don't forget about Christmas Cards.

********** WEDDING IDEAS **********
Topic: WEDDINGS

You can discover some really great wedding/reception ideas on Flickr.

Here's one that I like, using apples to hold your seating/place cards. So simple yet so cool!

This image is from the set "Wedding June + Chris"

This image is from sfegette.

And from "Flowers by Atalanta"

Now, think about what you can do at your wedding.
